Good afternoon everyone and welcome back to The Attis Arena for this Enterprise National League match.

A warm welcome is extended to supporters, players, directors and personnel of the Tinners. We hope that it will be an entertaining game and that the Iron are celebrating a victory come the final whistle.

Supporter 2 Reporter

This week we have welcomed eight Yr5-Yr8 pupils from The Cortini Academy to the study centre to start a five week mini Supporter 2 Reporter programme.

The Academy works with local schools and local authorities to ensure that learners who need an individual approach to learning have a quality educational alternative. They believe that every young person should have the opportunity to succeed by being motivated and inspired.

This week, we completed a ground tour of the Attis Arena and used the photos we took to create an iMovie on our iPads. Next time we’ll record commentaries to finish it off.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll focus on “The News”, What is it? How do you gather it? and interviewing Top Tips. We’ll interview the Iron Media Manager James Moody followed by an interview in our green screen studio with an Iron player or two. We’ll finish the programme by writing a script and filming a TV show in the studio. More on all of that in future match day programmes.

Dads Together Group

This morning has also seen our popular Dads Together group take place here at the stadium.

Today we had some Roald Dahl Day activities. We decorated a chocolate bun, designed a new chocolate bar for Willy Wonka, played with the Lego and playdough and much more.

Our next session is on Saturday 25th October 09:30-11:00 and 11:30-13:00. It’s free to attend and you don’t need to book. We look forward to seeing you there.

If you work at a school or have any specific involvement as a parent or governor and you would like to find out more about this project or any other learning programme we offer to schools please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
