Good afternoon everyone and welcome back to The Attis Arena for this Enterprise National League match.

A warm welcome is extended to supporters, players, directors and personnel of the Glovers. We hope that it will be an entertaining game and that the Iron are celebrating a victory come the final whistle.

Supporter 2 Reporter

Our Cortini Academy young reporters have now completed their exciting 5-week Supporter 2 Reporter programme. In our last update we were learning about interviewing skills ready for the next two sessions. United General Manager James Moody was the first in the interview hot seat answering questions about his career at the club and his interviewing top tips. Next up, we were very lucky to be visited by The Iron’s Danny Whitehall. Our students had a fantastic time quizzing him with everything from his playing career to his favourite Subway sandwich! We then visited the stadium match day control room and spoke to Stadium & Operations Manager, Martin Hopper, about the systems in place to keep fans and players safe on match day. Huge thanks to both James, Danny and Martin for taking time out to talk to us. In our last session, we recorded commentary clips in our studio, learnt about the wide range of jobs available in football and presented certificates. A massive well done to all our Coritani reporters for a fantastic achievement.

Dads Together

Our ever-popular Dads Together group returns in a couple of weeks’ time on Saturday 22nd November before our next home match against Braintree. We’ll be programming our BBC Micro:bit mini computers and getting into an autumnal mood with leaf drawing and hedgehog leaf creations. We’ll also be playing with the Lego and playdough and having a visit from some North Lincs Fire and rescue firefighters. We have two sessions available, 09:30-11:00 and 11:30-13:00. It’s free to attend and you don’t need to book. We look forward to seeing you there.

If you work at a school or have any specific involvement as a parent or governor and you would like to find out more about this project or any other learning programme we offer to schools please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
