Tommy - There But Not There

We are proud to share the latest community project that Frederick Gough School is involved in. As part of the ‘There but Not There’ Armistice project, the pupils have raised money and are giving St Peter’s Church in Bottesford, seven life size silhouettes to represent the seven soldiers commemorated on the WW1 panel of the Bottesford memorial. These will be going on display, in the Church, in early October. We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to photograph this 6’ Tommy figure here at Glanford Park.

You can find out more about this project by visiting the "There but not There" website

As part of the 2018 WWI Centenary celebrations, Study Parks will be taking part in the Scunthorpe United Open Day on Thursday 26th July with a display of WWI memorabilia and will be interested in hearing from United fans whose families served in the Great War.
