Study Centre refurbishment - Part 3

Further news from our exciting study centre rebuild!

Happy Christmas everyone! Here is the third instalment of our refurbishment of the Old Showground Bar here at the Sands Venue Stadium.

Winnor Developments Limited has continued with its excellent work. The moveable partition wall from our former media centre has been rehung for a new office space. Supports for the track were installed along with a new piece of wall to support one end.

Things quickly started to move on now. The carpets started to go down and we were able to get more and more of the ceiling tiles installed.

About 26 cans of adhesive later the floor was down. The difference it made was incredible.

Barry the decorator was now able to start work. After a lot of filling and sanding, one layer of undercoat and two layers of colour, it was done. A Herculean effort! The result was stunning.

Data and comms cabling was quickly finished off by the guys from Trent Valley Electrical Services and work began to construct an entrance/kitchen dividing wall.

After giving the carpets a good clean, we were able to start bringing in our furniture and have just moved into our new office. The media classroom furniture followed and we started the big job or getting organised ready to start teaching on Monday 13th January when we welcome the first of four schools on our successful Supporter 2 Reporter programme.
